Discover the Key Colours for Beauty for A/W 26/27

WGSN, Coloro and British Beauty Week are proud to partner to launch the Key Colours for Beauty for A/W 26/27.

First up, Cocoa Powder. Typically reserved as a more mature hue, this dimensional tone is ideal for creating smokey eyes. It will be a great age-agnostic story as it feels sophisticated enough to appeal to older generations, but can also be used as a new black for indie sleaze/grunge 2010s beauty looks in smudged matte applications, appealing to younger generations. It is sensual and dimensional, with just the right hint of contemporary edge.

Wax Paper is also a key hue for beauty, especially when exploring textured elements. It opens doors for unique approaches to packaging transparency, wet sheet masks, matte eyeshadow and unusual sheer nails. It’s a tone that feels equally subversive and familiar. It can be seen as a tepid yet soothing commercial colour, but it can also feel alien, fungal (mushrooms are increasingly important ingredients for beauty) and directional. Swampier tones are also becoming popular, with this yellowish hue being a great complement.
